Most Underrated Player ON EARTH

The pass rusher who beat Myles Garrett and T.J. Watt in quarterback hits is barely in the conversation.

Garrett just broke the NFL record with 23 sacks.

He also faced 186 double teams or chips, the most recorded by an edge rusher since at least 2018.

Watt has built his case with sacks, forced fumbles, interceptions and game-changing plays.

But when you zoom out to pure quarterback hits, another defensive lineman finished ahead of both of them.

Zach Allen.

And somehow, he still does not get talked about like the league’s elite pass rushers.

And last season, Myles Garrett made one of his strongest arguments yet. He broke the NFL record with 23 sacks. He was also double-teamed or chipped on 186 pass rushes, the most recorded by any edge since 2018.

So, how is there even room for another name in this conversation? Because when you zoom out and look at quarterback hits, one defensive lineman actually finished ahead of both of them, and almost nobody talks about him. And that's Zach Allen. Allen led the entire NFL with 47 quarterback hits last season, more than Myles Garrett, and more than T.J. Watt. And now he's recorded at least 40 quarterback hits in back-to-back seasons. Only one defensive lineman has ever done that. Not T.J. Watt, J.J. Watt. So, between Myles Garrett and T.J. Watt, I'm still taking Garrett, but Zach Allen might be the most under-talked-about defender in football, because
