Jaxon Dart showed flashes as a rookie, but he runs the ball a lot and staying healthy is a real concern. Jameis Winston is a capable backup who brings energy to the locker room, but he is not the answer if Dart goes down for multiple weeks.
The injuries are already stacking up. Cam Scatabo is coming off a rough knee injury and it is not clear when he will be back to full speed. Malik Nabers not 100 percent and could miss the first few weeks. That is a brutal start for an offense that has real question marks.
Odell Beckham is back in New York, but he is not the Odell we are used to. JuJu Smith-Schuster is in the same boat. They brought in Isaiah Likely from Baltimore, who is a solid tight end, and Theo Johnson has some upside. But there are too many "ifs."
The offensive line is just average. Jim Harbaugh is a big get as head coach, but year one is always an adjustment.
Defensively, Shelby Harris and Ryan Burns are solid veterans. Avarell Reese was a great draft pick out of Ohio State. Abdul Carter and Greg Newsome give them pieces to work with.
The schedule is unforgiving. Both games against Dallas and Philadelphia are projected losses. Road games at the Rams, Jaguars, 49ers, and Seahawks are all tough outs. Five wins is where it landed. Under 7.5.

Today we got the New York Giants, see if they can get to eight wins, which is what the Vegas total is set at for this season. We're going to jump right into it, look at their biggest gains and losses. Brought in Isaiah Likely from the Ravens. I love that signing. Brought in Tremaine Edmunds. JuJu Smith-Schuster and Odell Beckham. Brought in some vets. Odell back in New York. Got DJ Reader, good signing there. J.C. Davis as well. They added some help on the offensive side of the ball, offensive line and defensive line. Biggest losses, lost Wan'Dale Robinson, but brought in some veterans to help out there.
And so overall they didn't lose too much. Let's just go ahead and look at their depth chart. All right, so Jackson Dart. Can he stay healthy? That's going to be our main main concern here. Uh James Winston though, we know he can come in and and fill in for uh injured players, brings uh lots to the locker room. So I like that, but uh Jackson Dart, I mean he just was running the ball so much his rookie year. It's just can he stay healthy? Cam Skatabu, it's going to be interesting to see how he looks coming back from injury. And so be interesting there. Malik Nabers too. We have some concerns here with the Giants because Cam Skatabu coming off a a rough knee injury and Malik Nabers as well.
And uh from what I'm hearing Malik Nabers, I don't know if he's 100%. I don't know if he's going to be ready fully 100 for the first few weeks. Got Darius Slayton. Of course, Odell Beckham, he's not going to be the Odell Beckham we're used to. Same with JuJu Smith-Schuster, but it'll help. It'll definitely help. Bringing in Isaiah Likely though, I love that move. Theo Johnson also a good tight end. So they've got two solid tight ends. Nothing too crazy there. Not great, just average offensive line. Looking at the defensive side of the ball, bringing in DJ Reader, I like that move. Shelby Harris as well.
Brian Burns, Averell Reese in the draft. We'll see how he looks. I really liked him at Ohio State, so we'll see. Uh Abdul Carter, I mean, they've got a tough defense. You got Greg Newsome. They They've got a solid defense, so I think this defense is going to be solid. The question mark for them is really the offensive side of the ball. Um bringing in Harbaugh though, a coach, we forgot to mention that. That's a That's a big gain uh for them. But overall, it's just really a question mark with this offense, how they're going to look with the injuries that they've they've had to key players with Neighbors and Skowronek.
So, let's get right into their schedule. All right, so week one, Sunday night football, they are at home versus the Cowboys. I think Cowboys are going to be good. We're going to call that a loss. Rams, that's tough, too. Monday night, we're going to call that a loss. Week three, Titans, we're going to call We'll We'll call that one a win. I think the Titans could be okay this year, we're going to call that a win. Cardinals, that's going to be a win. Cardinals are going to be rough this year. I think they can beat the Commanders as well. Then they have the Saints. I think this game could go either way.
We're going to call that a loss though. Then they have the Texans. I think between the Saints and the Texans, we're just going to say they pick up a win between one of those two games, so we'll put them at four. Then the Eagles, call that a loss. Commanders, again, I think they could end up splitting those games with the Commanders, but we're just going to call this a win. Say they win both games. Think the Commanders are going to struggle this year. Jaguars, loss. Colts, at Colts, we're going to call that a loss cuz I'm going to say at this point they racked up some injuries and it caught up to them.
Week 13, 49ers, loss. Seahawks, loss. Browns, we'll call that a win. Lions, we're going to call that a loss. Cowboys, loss. I think they're going to lose both games, the Cowboys, and then Eagles, loss. So, looking at DraftKings, DraftKings has the Giants over/under 7 and 1/2, minus 110 for each. I'm going under. I'm going under on the win total because of injury concerns, especially with Malik Nabers. I don't know how he's going to look, same with Scataboo. I don't I don't know about this team. I love bringing in Harbaugh, but overall, I I I just think injuries are going to hurt this team. I could be wrong.
