All right, going over the Sunday week 2 slate. I just want to thank everybody for the support on the last video for the Thursday night game. Appreciate it. So, every like, every comment, all that helps. If you guys want me to keep doing this, I'm going to do it for every Thursday night football game, every Sunday slate, as well as the Monday Night Slate. Going to give my leans, my picks, uh dive into some player props on certain games as well. But let's hop right into it. I'll give my notes on certain games from the week before, some things to pay attention to for each of these games, and give you some notes that I have down for these teams from week one.
So, Pittsburgh Steelers at Patriots, two teams that did not perform that great in week one. Pittsburgh beat Atlanta 20-13. Aaron Rogers 221 yards, one touchdown, no interception. So, did take care of the ball, but that offense did not look great. 264 total yards. TJ Watt had a pick six and that ended up being mostly the game uh that held them in there, gave them the uh gave them the lead and that's really what ended up getting them the win. Of course, New England lost AJ Brown. Huge injury. He is going to be out at least looks like he's going to miss at least six weeks. So, big loss for the Patriots.
It was huge for them to to uh to get him in the off season, but huge loss. Drake May threw three interceptions. Now, contrary take to most, I thought Drake May did a good job at handling Seattle's pressure compared to the Super Bowl. He was getting destroyed by that pressure. He was getting rid of the ball, but you got to eliminate those terrible mistakes. I mean, those three interceptions killed them, especially the one at the end, forcing it. I know you want to win the game, but just was not a fan of his decision-making in that one. But we will see how Drake May looks in week two. They controlled possession for more than 34 minutes in that game.
But again, could not come overcome those turnovers. Blew a 10-point lead, 100 lead. So that's that was a rough rough one. And the Steelers mostly won because of their defense. So in week two, the Patriots at home getting a minus 5 and a half spread. Total sitting at 41 a half. You know, I I do think the Patriots can win this game. I do think it's a big loss that they they they lose AJ Brown in this one. I think they will have a bounceback week and win this game. The minus 5 1/2, I don't love it. I like more of an alternate minus 2 1/2 or if you were to take the Steelers plus 7 and 1/2, I think they they can keep it close, but I think ultimately the Patriots will end up winning this game.
I know week one didn't look great, but we have to remember that they were facing Seattle, one of the best defenses that they're going to see. Pittsburgh's defense is pretty good, but I'm going to have to lean towards the Patriots in this one. Pretty low total. I don't see a ton of offense in this one, but yeah, not one of my favorite games on the slate, so we're just going to move right on to the Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Cleveland looked absolutely horrible week one, 3410 lost to Jacksonville. Deshawn Watson looked terrible. They only had 272 total yards, 11 penalties, had two turnovers.
Deshun Watson on paper was 16 of 22, 205 yards, touchdown, interception, but that does not tell the story. If you watch that game, Shawn Watson looked absolutely awful and he patted his stats with that long pass to Zenzel Boston at the end of the game. So I Watson's going to be starting this game. The bigger story for me is Baker Mayfield facing his former team. Baker has that in him to where he wants to give the middle finger to the Browns and show them that they messed up moving on from him. So I think that Baker is going to have a better game than he did week one. He was uh Baker Mayfield 23 of 28 in week one and the big thing was Tampa lost four fumbles in that game.
So they got to take care of the ball. Didn't really get the rushing game going. Only 45 yards for Bucky Irving. He did have 48 receiving yards though. Tampa Bay if I think I mean eight minus 8 and a half spread. It's a big spread. I like the minus 6 and a half if you can get it in an alternate line. I think the Bucks are going to win this game. I don't even mind laying the minus 8 and a half. I think Cleveland is going to be terrible this year. They just have not been able to figure it out. I don't I think Quinn Sean Judkins is gonna have a down year because they're not going to be able to get anything going in the passing game and they're not going to be able to open up the run for him which sucks because Quinn John Judkins is a great running back it just with this team.
I mean the Browns I I I'm down to bet against the Browns almost I mean the spreads I think are going to get bigger and bigger but I have to take Tampa Bay here. Even if you're taking them on the minus 6 and a half I think they'll easily clear a touchdown if not cover the full eight and a half and win by 10 plus points. Next we have the Green Bay Packers at the New York Jets. Are the Jets back? Got a surprising week one win. They beat Tennessee 23-10. Tennessee looked pretty terrible though. Gino Smith though took care of the ball. 19 of 24, 215 yards, no turnovers. Reese Hall had 22 carries for 102 yards and a touchdown.
I wouldn't put too much stock into this Jets win. Jets look better than I thought they would, but uh the Titans had a rough training camp preseason. I think they're, you know, I was a little bit higher on them. I thought they'd have an okay year, but given what happened in training camp, preseason, and in week one, I think they could end up struggling this year. And then we look at Green Bay. They lost 39-22 to Minnesota. Horrible game if you're a Packers fan. They uh they led the game and then Kyler Murray went out and then Carson Wentz came in and they ended up losing that game. Losing Josh Jacobs this year really hurt them.
Um, I think that's gonna they're really going to feel that one. Jordan Love threw for 387 yards, two touchdowns. Christian Watson did have a good game, six receptions, 142 yards, and two touchdowns, but they led 22 to 10 before completely collapsing. 12 penalties for 98 yards, plus two turnovers. They've got to take care of the ball. Spread though in this one is minus three and a half on the Packers side. I think the Packers will win this game, and I do think they can cover the three-point spread. I like two and a half better, but I'm going to have to lean on the Packers here. I think the Packers are going to have a very disappointing season.
Parsons is is still out with injury. They're not going to have him for a while. Although the Jets looked okay in week one, I think the bigger story is that Titans team that they beat. I think the Titans are just really struggling right now to figure it out. And uh maybe the Jets are going to have a better season than we thought they would. But a three-point spread here. I've got to lean on the Packers here. either taking them on the money line, pairing them with something else, maybe some player props, or taking them on the minus three or minus two and a half. Got to lean on that side. Total set at 45.
I don't love either side of that. So, we are going to move on to Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears. This is one of my favorite games on the slate. Right now, spread is minus four and a half. Chicago Bears. Chicago Bears. Coach Ben Johnson already said he wants to have the highest scoring offense in NFL history. I believe he said, at least in the league. Total here is set at 48 and a half. I don't mind looking at an over on this game. I think it could very well end up being a high-scoring game. Vikings though, they're they're a tough team. We do not want to underestimate them. Of course, they won with the comeback win that we just talked about.
Beat Green Bay 39-22. Minnesota was outgainained 419 to 239 yards though despite winning by 17 points. So, it doesn't tell the whole story. Kyler Murray's in concussion protocol, so we very well will probably end up seeing Carson Wentz in this one. And listen, Carson Wentz isn't anything crazy to write home about, but he is a serviceable quarterback. And uh we'll see, you know, what ends up happening uh in that game, how he ends up looking. The Chicago Bears, I mean, Caleb Caleb Williams, 269 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, 65 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns. So four combined.
This is what's crazy. DeAndre Swift, 124 rushing yards, three rushing touchdowns. Kyle Manungai added a hundred more rushing yards. They ran all over Carolina. And Ben Johnson's running scheme is the best in the league. It's insane. So, I think they're going to continue running the ball. I like looking at DeAndre Swift in this one. His rushing and receiving yards, uh, combo stat is a good look in this one. I think all season he's going to be very consistent. Even if you take an alternative line on DeAndre Swift, I think he is going to have a monster year. And even if he gets injured, look at Kyle Manungi with this run scheme.
Any running back that they have on the roster is going to put up yard. Any of those two top running backs are going to put up yards. They had 550 total yards in week one. I got to go with the Chicago Bears minus 4 and a half in this one. Vikings are tough. They play close games. if you want to take it at minus two and a half or just take the Bears on the money line and pair it with something else. I do think the Bears will win this game. Also, don't mind taking a look at the over. I think this game is going to be highscoring. So, maybe you even take the Bears money line with an alternate over just to tease those points down a little further, but I do like the Bears in this one.
Moving on to the Tennessee Titans verse the Philadelphia Eagles. Another big spread here. Minus seven and a half on the Eagles side. Eagles had a close game versus the Commanders. 2422 win. Jaylen Hurst threw for three touchdowns, no interceptions. Dallas Goddard had 77 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Saquon Barkley rushed for 83 yards. And Washington almost tied it up there at the end. They missed their two-point conversion. So, very close game. Washington. I've been down I've been down on Washington preseason coming into the season, but Washington played really well. And then look at it.
at Tennessee. I mean, losing 23-10 to the Jets, very rough. They only had 195 total yards. Cam Ward 19 of 32, 140 yards. Tennessee ran only 14 times and their only touchdown came very late. Titans in this one. I mean, I think the Eagles are definitely going to win this game. I I think the Titans are eventually going to figure it out. I like Robert Salah. I really do. But I have to take the Eagles in this one. Even if you're taking a minus 6 and a half, I like a minus 6 and a half better than the minus 7 and a half. Passing that key number, but I do like the Eagles in this one. If you wanted to take a heavy moneyline favorite, I think the Eagles do win this game.
But the Eagles did show their struggles, but I think they will figure it out. I'd like to see Lemon get it going. He was just cardio out there week one. He did nothing. So would like to see the rookie get going, but I got to be on the Eagles side in this one. Seven points minus 7 and a half. I think they could cover, but again, more comfortable with an alternate or them on the money line. Even though you're throwing a lot of juice there, I just can't back the Titans just yet. Moving on to the Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons. And real quick, I'm looking at all of these odds on Profitex. Oftentimes, ProfitX since it is a trading platform, so it is peer-to-peer.
There is no VIG. So, you're not going to be you oftentimes are going to get better odds on Profitex than you do at the sports books. For example, I took a play that I looked at on FanDuel plus 120. I usually don't like taking stuff on FanDuel. I like shopping around and Profitex had it for plus 160. So, if you're not on Profitex, I highly recommend getting on Profitex. Only state that is not available in is Nevada. You can use code data and when you deposit 50 bucks, you will get a free $75 in trading credits. So, highly recommend if you're seeing lines that are better than your sports book. That's why because Profitex often times has those better lines because it is peer-to-peer.
So a lot of times you can get a nice edge on Profitex. But Panthers Falcons Panthers minus 2 and a half again lost 5937 to Chicago. I was impressed though. Did put up some points in that one. Bryce Young threw for 361 yards and three touchdowns. Carolina with 478 total yards. But this is a story. Their defense allowed 552 yards and 59 total points. Panthers turned it over three times. Jaylen Coker did go off eight receptions, 138 yards and two touchdowns. T McMillan had 75 yards. Then we look at Atlanta. They lost 2213 with Pittsburgh. I think Atlanta's really going to struggle this year. Atlanta only had 238 total yards.
Cooper Rush threw for 143 yards and two interceptions. Of course, they're having the problem there. They have not yet announced a starter. So, it could be Michael Penn. It could be Tua. Could be T Cooper Rush. We don't know. Whenever you have Kevin Sfansky, he seems to bring a quarterback circus around him. That's what we saw in the Browns, and it seems to be the same thing here in Atlanta. One guy I do like who I think they're going to run the offense through is Bejon Robinson in this game. So, last game he had 83 rushing yards plus eight catches for 90 yards and a touchdown. So, I like taking Bian Robinson for rushing and receiving yards combo stat.
He's one of my favorite players to take for that, especially this year. even if you take an alternate on a safe floor than he normally gets. I use data streak for all my player prop and team research. So, I'll leave a link down in the description, but it's great for looking at player charts, looking at player matchups, seeing who has a good matchup. But, you know, considering the Panthers defense just being terrible, although I don't trust Atlanta's offense, I do trust Bejian Robinson. So, I expect him to get it going. I can just not trust the Falcons so far this year. I didn't think they were going to have a good year going into this.
I like the Panthers on the money line. Even though minus two and a half in this one, I think Atlanta is still figuring it out. They're still figuring out their quarterback situation. Carolina's got to figure out their defense, but at the same time, Atlanta did only had 238 total yards in week one. So, they're not going to fa they're not facing the Bears like they did in week one. The Bears probably are going to have the highest scoring offense, Ben Johnson, as we mentioned, once they have the highest scoring offense in the league. So, I think they're going to have a lot easier matchup on defense this week.
So hopefully they can get it figured out on defense, but I like the Panthers in this one on the money line or minus 2 1/2. Next we have the New Orleans Saints at Baltimore Ravens. Saints lost 31-30 in overtime to Detroit. Played them really well. I think the Saints are going to be a lot better than people think this year. Saints were down 21 nothing and almost came back one. Tyler Shuck with 410 passing yards, three touchdowns. He did have two interceptions, so he's got to take care of the ball. Chris Ave with 10 receptions, 182 yards. I think Chris Alave is going to have a really good year. And then the Ravens beat Indianapolis 51-23.
Ravens had 506 total yards. Lamar Jackson threw for 324 yards. Derrick Henry had 24 carries for 144 yards and three touchdowns. When is Derrick Henry going to slow down? He's what, 32 years old? 31 32. Anyways, he he's already broken records for running backs over the age of 30 and he's not slowing down. So Z Flowers had 150 yards and a touchdown. He had that one big play. So, got a chunk of it there. Now, he did leave with a hamstring and Z Flowers did not practice. And rookie wide receiver Jacobe Lane, who I really liked going into this year, he fractured his wrist and is expected to miss time.
Give me the Saints plus eight in this one. Even if you want to take it at plus 10 and a half and do an alternate line, I think the Saints are going to hang around in this one. I think that the Ravens are going to be really good this year, but I think the Saints are going to be a lot better than people uh think this year. So, give me the Saints all day getting the points on the road plus eight or even taking the plus 10 and a half. All right, next we have the Cincinnati Bengals at the Houston Texans. Cincinnati beat Tampa 33-27. Joe Burrow 25 of 35, 254 yards, a touchdown interception. Cincinnati's defense created a ton of mistakes, which is a surprise, but they were facing Tampa Bay.
A lot of that might have been Baker not taking care of the football, but uh Cincinnati's defense was a concern going into this season for me. I didn't think they were going to be great. Tampa Bay lost four fumbles and the Bengals surprisingly were not dominant on offense. The one thing though to note from this game is they did protect Joe Burrow. Joe Burrow actually had the best protection out of any quarterback in the league in week one, which he is not used to seeing. So, we may see that offense start to pick up now that he has that protection. Houston lost 3631 to Buffalo. CJ Stra threw for 274 yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions.
David Montgomery had three touchdowns. Yeah, and Houston had the chance to win late. CJ Strad was strip sacked. He's got to take care of the ball. Need to see more from CJ Strad. And the surprising thing for me was Houston's defense giving up over 30 points. I know it is to Buffalo, but that's supposed to be, you know, their strength of this team, especially with Demo Ryan's head coach. And we got the Bengals. It was plus three, it's now plus two and a half. I I like the Bengals to hang around in this one and make it close. I think their offense will figure it out. Hopefully that defense will continue going like it has.
I I don't mind the Bengals even on the money line. I I like the Bengals on the points. I like plus three and a half better in this game. And I just need to see more from the uh Houston defense. I was not impressed by them in week one. And I wasn't impressed by the Bengals offense, but I know that Bengals offense has so much talent and I think they will get it figured out. So, give me the Bengals on the plus two and a half, plus three points. I like the plus three a lot better. If I was going to take it, I'd take the plus three and a half if you can get it and paying a little extra juice. Next, we have the Jacksonville Jaguars at Denver Broncos.
Jacksonville played Cleveland. Looked amazing, but it is Cleveland. Cleveland's going to be terrible this year. They won 34 to10. Trevor Lawrence, 18 of 23, 245 yards, four touchdowns, no interceptions. They did not turn the ball over, held Cleveland to 10 points. That is saying nothing. Uh Cleveland got a garbage seven points at the end. Cleveland's offense is going to be horrible this year. So, I'm not judging their defense off that performance. Denver lost 31-10 in Kansas City. And man, did they look bad. Bo Knicks looked awful. And that defense looked terrible. That defense could not tackle to save their lives.
It's not. We are not used to that from the Denver Broncos. Their defense has been great. Defense was great last year, but we need to see more from them. Bon Knicks only had 131 passing yards, one touchdown, one interception. Denver finished with 176 total yards, only 15 rushing attempts. And Denver is also on the short week after playing Monday Night Football. I like the Jacksonville Jaguars getting three points plus three points. Give me Jacksonville in this game covering the three points. I still got to see more from the Denver Broncos uh after after that week one performance. It was awful. Jaguars again playing the Browns, but they still looked super sharp.
Trevor Lawrence looked awesome. He was spreading the ball around to a lot of different receivers. Yeah, just give me the Jaguars in this one. If you're get getting the points, give me the Jaguars. If you want to tease it to an alternate plus seven and a half and pair a few of those together, I don't mind that either. I think Jacksonville will at least keep it within a touchdown. Next we have the Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers. So the Raiders won verse Miami 2713. Not that impressive. Miami is probably going to be the worst team in the league this year. We're going to talk about Arizona in a second.
I would have projected them to be the worst team in the league. We'll see after this last performance. Kurt Cousins threw for three touchdowns despite two interceptions. Ashton Genty 23 carries for 102 yards. He also had six catches, 45 yards, two receiving touchdowns. He's had a monstrous game. Raiders control possession, lean heavily on the run, but Brock Bowers, of course, is out. Missed week one. I'm not too concerned. They got Michael Mayer. They have a good backup tight end. Chargers, I mean, the biggest surprise of the week. I had them in some Survivor tournaments. I thought there was no way that they would lose to the Cardinals, and yet they did.
They lost 26-4 to Arizona. Justin Herbert threw for 209 yards, one uh one touchdown, one interception. They only had 268 total yards of offense, two turnovers. Thought getting Mike McDaniel would help that offense, but uh they're having some growing pains here to start. Arizona controlled possession for 37 minutes. Lab Maki injured his ribs is day. Think this could be an overreaction for the Chargers. I think the Chargers are going to figure figure things out. Although they did not look good. I like the Chargers in this one more so minus 2 and a half. don't love the minus 6 and 1/2, but if I had to choose, I would take the Chargers minus 6 and 1/2.
I think they will have a bounceback week this game, but man, do they need do they need a bounceback game or what? I mean, they were rough in week one. Next, moving on, the divisional matchup. Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals. Seattle beat New England 13-10. Defense looked amazing like they always have, or at least the past two years. Seattle came back after trailing 10-0. Sam Darnold though did get injured, but Drew Lock came in 16 of 22, 187 yards and a touchdown. Jackson Smith and Jigba, eight receptions, 122 yards, and a touchdown. Seattle did not turn the ball over, so we'll see what to expect from them.
I was surprised to see only a minus three uh spread for the Seahawks in this one. Arizona beat the Chargers 2614. Jacobe Brassette looks serviceable. 277 passing yards, a touchdown, no interceptions. Trey McBride doing what Trey McBride does. love him for receptions every week. Even if you're not taking his overunder, alternative receptions, he gets involved in the offense. Nine receptions, 95 yards, and a touchdown. Arizona had 393 total yards, zero turnovers, and 37 minutes of possession. I got to take the Seahawks. I mean, I love the value of the money line on the Seahawks or just taking them the minus three and a half or even taking a minus two and a half on an alternate line.
I think the Cardinals in week one, they looked good. I don't think they're going to be as bad as I thought at least they were going to be this year, but I still got to lean on the Seahawks in this one. I think that offense will get going. Drew Lock looked pretty decent. I liked how Jaden Price, their rookie, looked. I know they lost Kenneth Walker and Kenneth Walker looked like a beast. I do think that was a loss for the offense. I think Jadarian Price is going to be a good running back and they're going to be able to lean on him and also get that passing game going a little more. Next, we have the Washington Commanders at Dallas Cowboys.
Cowboys are minus 4 and a half right now. Washington coming off a 24-22 loss to Philadelphia. Played him really well, played better than I thought they would. They stayed with him all game. Jaden Daniels, 164 yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions, and they, you know, they were a play away from tying it. Potentially winning that game. So, I thought they looked really solid, better than I thought they would this year. But Dallas, I was high on Dallas this year. They lost 28-20 to the Giants. Dallas only had 244 total yards. Dak Prescott threw for 175 yards, two touchdowns, one interceptions. The Giants rush for 151 yards.
Giants control possession. And this is the big one. Dallas had nine penalties for 90 yards. Got to eliminate the penalties. But I am still not sold on the Commanders. Give me the Cowboys. I like them on the money line. I like them minus four. I like them minus two and a half. Uh I like the Cowboys in this one at home. I just I think the Cowboys are going to turn it around. disappointing week one for sure, but I think the Dallas Cowboys bounce back this week. Give me the Dallas Cowboys. Next, we have the Miami Dolphins at San Francisco 49ers. Woo! Minus 13 and a half favorites for the 49ers. Miami lost 13-27 to Las Vegas.
Malik Wills went 15 for 27, 220 yards with an interception and had a rushing touchdown. Miami only had 259 total yards. Devon Achain only 36 rushing yards and they had two turnovers and only 18 rushing attempts. San Francisco of course with the shocker beating I mean it's not a shocker that they won but it is a shocker that they won 27-7 verse the Rams Brock Pury 205 yards three touchdowns one interception Christian McAffrey 10 carries 68 yards love Christian McAffrey this year four receptions I think he is going to have a down year overall with the workload that he got last year any year that he's had that kind of workload his next seasons he just dealt with injury so if he's healthy I think he's good for grabbing him for three, four receptions, wherever you can get value with or getting him rushing receiving yards, but I think they are going to mix in multiple backs.
So, I don't think he's going to get as much of a workload, but I still think he's going to be involved in the receiving game when he is when he is out there. Now, the 49ers could still be adjusting to the time zone change in Australia from playing that international game. Think the 49ers are going to win this game easily. I'm staying away from a 13-point spread. I don't like it. I think the 49ers win easily. I'm just not going to take them on the spread in this one. Just too big of a spread. So, I'll probably stay away from this game. Very well. Might see the 49ers pulling their starters, resting them, getting some rest when they're up in the second half.
So, I'm going to be staying away from this game. Let's get on our Sunday night game. Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs. The Colts lost 4123 to Baltimore. They allowed 56 total yards of offense and they got to face the Chiefs and that offense looked good as well. Daniel Jones threw for 166 yards, a touchdown interception. Coach GM for the Colts are on the hot seat. They need to get a win here. And um yeah, Jonathan Taylor was the only bright spot. 19 carries, 98 yards, two touchdowns. And Baltimore had 31 point lead at halftime. Kansas City beat Denver 31-10. Denver looked awful in that game though.
Kansas City looked really good, but Denver just looked awful. Mahomes threw for 184 yards, two touchdowns while adding a rushing touchdown. It looks like the ACL, the knees looking okay. Kenneth Walker, though, the bigger story. I love him this year for rushing and receiving yards. The combo stat, that's what I had in uh their their last game. And uh he hit that easily. He had 23 carries, 173 yards. He had a 60 yard touchdown run. He also caught a touchdown. Kansas City ran the ball 38 times. I think they're going to be more runheavy. Uh they were missing their left tackle, so they relying more on the run.
We'll see when they're healthy there. But the rook, they had a rookie left tackle starting. He looked phenomenal. So we might see a runheavy Kansas City team that still has the ability to pass when they need to, but the way that running game looked, uh they might heavily rely on Kenneth Walker this year and utilize him quite a lot. Kansas City does have the short week coming off the Monday Night Football. Got the minus six and a half. Chiefs are at home. I mean, I think the Chiefs easily win this game. Give me the minus 6 and a half Chiefs. Give me minus two and a half, minus three and a half.
I like the Chiefs in this one. Uh, Colts need a bounceback week, but I'm not sold in the Colts this year. And, uh, I'm going to see need to see more from them. Give me the Chiefs in this one. And another dominant performance like we saw in week one. They look tough. I heard they had a really tough training camp. So, Chiefs are ready this year. After a disappointing season last year, I think they have a comeback year where they look a lot better. Give me the Chiefs. And that wraps up all of my leans for the Sunday slate.
