The running back cliff was supposed to catch Derrick Henry two years ago. It still hasn’t.
Age 30 is usually where the warning signs start.
Henry responded by rushing for more than 1,900 yards.
Then at 31, he nearly reached 1,600 again while scoring 16 touchdowns.
Now he owns back-to-back 1,500-yard, 15-touchdown seasons after 30, something no other running back in NFL history has even done once.
He is 32 now.
So maybe the question is no longer when Henry falls off.
Maybe it is how much longer he can keep embarrassing the aging curve.

Derrick Henry is breaking every rule that we have about aging running backs. He was supposed to regress two years ago. He had just turned 30, the age where running backs usually start to fall off. Instead, he rushed for over 1,900 yards. So, surely the regression came last season, but it didn't. At 31, Derrick Henry finished just 5 yards short of 1,600 yards and he scored 16 touchdowns. And this is where it gets ridiculous. Henry has now posted back-to-back seasons with at least 1,500 rushing yards and 15 rushing touchdowns. No running back in NFL history has even done that once after turning 30, let alone twice.
And now he is 32 years old. So, how long can a running back actually fight the aging curve like this? At this point, I'm done trying to predict when Derrick Henry will fall off. I just want to see how long he can keep this up because
